We Are Listening

A Live Salon About Black Artists' Experiences in the Theatre Industry

The celebration and discussion centered around the experiences of Black performing arts creatives, artists, and workers continues in We Are Listening, a bi-weekly salon hosted by Ahmed Kenyatta Dents, San Diego Repertory Theatre Director of Venue Experience and Artistic Associate and La Jolla Playhouse Director of Arts Engagement and In-House Casting, Jacole Kitchen. Each live event will feature prominent Black artists, creatives and workers from San Diego and beyond discussing their careers in theatre and their experiences as Black Americans in the industry. We Are Listening is a production of San Diego Repertory Theatre in partnership with La Jolla Playhouse and The Old Globe.

We will be returning with new in person and live streamed episodes in September. Register for the Zoom link at sdrep.org/listening. If you are interested in being a guest, please email Ahmed Dents at adents@sdrep.org or call  619-231-3586 x 620.
