What are the REP’s plans for the fall?

Our plan is to start our season in September.  We are monitoring the most current information from the CDC, county and state government.   We plan to follow the advice of Governor Newsom’s 4-step plan for opening, and adjust as needed to our season according to where we are in that plan.

What are your plans for when folks can come back to the theatre?

When we reemerge, we will follow all the latest guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our audience and employees.  We will not re-open until we can meet the recommended health authorities’ yet-to-be published guidelines for theatres.

When are you making decisions regarding the fall?

We are planning months in advance of the season, and will remain in touch with our patrons as things change.  We will make decisions on whether to postpone shows two months in advance of the first performance of said show.

Why should I subscribe?

In this difficult time, subscriptions help us ensure the future stability of The REP, and allow us to plan for our resurgence when this trying time passes.

What if I purchase a ticket or subscription for a show that is later re-scheduled?

If one of our shows is rescheduled we will contact you with the new show date.  You will keep your seat for the corresponding performance in the new show run.  If this date does not work for you, you can contact the box office to arrange for a different date with no exchange fee.  If you cannot make any of the new dates, the box office can arrange to put the funds of your ticket on account for a future purchase, accept a ticket donation, and more.
While our goal is to call all patrons with important details such as this, our fastest means of communication is email. Please be sure you have and marked as safe emails to ensure you are receiving all important updates from the theatre. If you believe we have an outdated email on file for you, or that we do not have any email on file for you, feel free to call or email the Box Office to update your account information.

How can I help The REP?

There are several ways to help The REP.  One is by buying subscriptions to our upcoming season.  Second, is by donating to The REP. Right now, generous REP supporter Harvey Neiman is matching all gifts!

What is The REP up to now?

Currently The REP is producing a wide variety of content online to stay connected to our patrons.  This includes a weekly newsletter about all things REP called San Diego REPresents, which includes fun videos, articles and insights.  Playwright-in-Residence, Herbert Siguenza, has started a daily social media piece called Lunch Breaks with Herbert Siguenza, where he shares jokes, poetry, plays and recipes. On May 10th we will be participating in the streaming of Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin, which makes the second production we have made available for streaming (our production of House of Joy was the first).  The REP is continuing to explore inventive ways to provide content of value and interest online so we can stay close to our audience in this time we have to be apart.
