It’s the somewhat familiar story of young maiden Cinderella, a Witch, a boy with a beanstalk named Jack, a childless baker and his wife, the long-haired Rapunzel, a couple of princes, Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf—all of whom find themselves in the woods, where they are forced to face their fears, and learn a few lessons along the way.  With superb music in Sondheim’s trademarked style, this musical is directed by the award-winning Shaun T. Evans and stars some of San Diego’s biggest stars like the one-and-only Miss LEIGH SCARRIT (The Witch), JASON MADDY (The Baker) and BRYAN STANTON (The Prince).  Also starring some of San Diego’s brightest future stars like Sarah Ah Sing (from CYC’s Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Annie Jr. (Hannigan) and Les Miserables (Eponine), Meghan McKenzie (from CYC’s The Secret Garden (Lily), Annie Jr. (Grace) and Les Miserables (Cosette), and Gabi Liebowitz (Cinderella).  This show features professional live orchestral music, stunning lighting design by Michael Hoffman and beautiful costumes by Mandy LaRowe.
